Panel Anchors and Panel Reinforcing strips must be installed together in the same horizontal course, starting between the first and second row, then every 16” o/c maximum. Panel Anchors are also required vertically at 16” o/c across the top of the frame.

After measuring the window opening, connect the 1’ long Panel Reinforcing strips together by clicking the male end into the female end, until you reach the desired length.

Slide Panel Anchors onto each end of the Panel Reinforcing unit, maintaining a minimum 6” lap in each Panel Anchor slot.

Lay mortar and embed Panel Anchor/Reinforcing unit fully into it. Apply additional mortar as needed to completely cover Panel Anchor/Panel Reinforcing strip.

Prior to attaching Panel Anchors to the window frame, ensure a tight fit by pushing the two Panel Anchors away from each other, towards the frame. Maintain a minimum 6” lap of Panel Reinforcing in the Panel Anchor slot. If the lap is less than 6” on each end, an extra Panel Reinforcing strip must be added.

Use 2 - 1” stainless steel or zinc coated screws to attach Panel Anchors to the window frame.
